3. Hulphout paulowniahout, gebruikt voor lade binnenplaat. Corrosiebestendig, slijtvast, hoge temperatuurbestendig, geen vervorming en niet gemakkelijk te vormen. Het is een materiaal dat al sinds de oudheid wordt gebruikt om balgstaven te maken en het is ook een beroemd pianobouwhout in het oude China.
